About the Conference

The Organizing and Scientific Committees are pleased to announce the joint 26th Congress of the Czech Geographical Society and the 19th Congress of the Slovak Geographical Society, to be held on 7–10 September 2026 at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Slovakia.

The congress theme, “Geography in the Changing World,” addresses the dynamic challenges facing contemporary society and the environment, highlighting the essential role of geography in shaping sustainable, inclusive, and innovative solutions in various spatial scales – from local to global.

Contributions from all areas of geography and related scientific disciplines are welcome.

The congress will provide a platform for:

  • Paper and poster presentations
  • Panel discussions and plenary sessions
  • Keynote lectures by internationally recognized scholars
  • Thematic excursions and networking opportunities
